The Reception of Ancient Rome in British Children’s Culture, 1945-2020
The project explores the different ways that Rome is, and has been, presented to children from 1945 until modern day, attempting to understand what this reception reveals not only about the British understanding of ancient Rome but also about modern Britian and the ways in which it has changed over the past several decades.
