The Writings of Nicolaus of Damascus: Interpretation, Translation and Digital Analysis

In this research project, Dr. Stephanie Binder proposes to employ innovative research methods used in the field of digital humanities to revisit issues regarding the sources and writing habits of Josephus Flavius, who relied heavily on materials he found in the work of Nicolaus of Damascus, King Herod’s personal secretary and court historian.
